About Laura Denktash

Laura Denktash is an entrepreneur, writer, artist, and performance excellence consultant. A talented and creative artist, Laura founded Luce Celeste, a jewelry design company, in 2005. As a fond supporter of the Grace Foundation of Northern California, an equine rescue and rehabilitation facility located in northern California, she has now been inspired to create special designs of horse-themed jewelry for their benefit. The line is called Love2LoveHorses. In May 2007, she donated jewelry for their annual fund raiser, where her designs were well-received. There, she was able to promote her business, gain recognition, and create excitement.

Laura is committed to quality in everything she seriously pursues. To raise her professionalism in the jewelry industry, she enrolled at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, California, the world's foremost authority in gemology, completing the Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP) certificate and designation in 2007. She is currently pursuing the coveted Graduate Gemologist (GG) certificate, recognized throughout the world as a symbol of excellence achieved.

In November of 2007, Laura released her first cookbook. The Rose Cookbook — A Treasury of Rose Recipes from Around the World. During her years of herbal studies at the Dry Creek Herb Farm, she came to understand the benefits of combining good food, natural ingredients, herbs and flowers. She continued to research the qualities of roses through her studies of aromatherapy, flower essences, and scientific studies, which included a class — Essential Oil, Science and Application. Through those studies, she realized that the rose was the perfect flower. She then devoted her research of roses to create The Rose Cookbook, and to promote roses as more than a pretty flower, but as nourishment for the body, heart, mind, and soul.

Laura is currently working on a Mexican cookbook entitled La Cocina de Catalina, named for her maternal grandmother, and The Mythological Goddess Cookbook: Foods from the Mediterranean Regions of Classical Mythology. Look for La Cocina de Catalina in late 2008 and The Mythological Goddess Cookbook in early 2009.
